Permatex Maximum Temperature Sleeve Retainer is designed for bonding cylindrical metal parts. This anaerobic adhesive will cure when confined between metal surfaces and in the absence of air. It is ideal for bonding and repairing close-fitting cylindrical parts with diametral gaps up to 0.015” (0.35mm). Prevents parts from loosening due to shock and vibration. Operates in temperature ranges up to 230°C (450°F).
- Meets OEM specifications
- Designed to increase the strength of press-fit or slip-fit cylindrical parts where higher temperature resistance is required
- Fixtures in 1 hour at room temperature, but requires a secondary heat cure to generate high temperature resistance
- Bonds cylindrical parts with diametral gaps up to 0.015” (0.35mm)
- Helps restores fit to worn or out-of-tolerance assemblies
- Adds up to 3,800 PSI shear strength on steel parts after 24 hours
- Temperature range -54°C to 232°C (-65°F to 450°F)
- NOT FOR USE ON PLASTIC PARTS
- Applications: Bearings, bushings, cylinder sleeves, valve guides, cup/core plugs and similar assemblies where higher temperature resistance is required.
