WHAT KIND OF OIL SHOULD YOU USE IN YOUR RECREATIONAL VEHICLE?
Finding the right motor oil for your camper/RV is critical if you want to keep your motor home running smoothly.
The weight and viscosity of the motor oil you should be using depends on the climate of the area you'll be driving through. In warmer weather, 15W-40 is fine, but for colder temperatures, 5W-30 or 0W-30 might be a better choice. In general, you should do an oil change on your RV once every six months or every 5,000 to 8,000 kilometres. If you're planning multiple trips, consider doing two or three oil changes a year. Make sure to refer to your owner's manual to see what type of oil you should use and when to change it.
At NAPA Auto Parts, we have the motor oil, RV batteries, and RV trailer parts you need to keep your RV or RV trailer in good shape. If you need help picking the right oil for your RV, visit a NAPA Auto Parts store near you and we'll help you choose the right-weight motor oil.
Don't let engine problems ruin your RV adventure - stay on top of your recreational vehicle's maintenance. And remember that an oil change is cheap insurance, not to mention a lot cheaper than a trip to the RV shop for parts and repairs.
