NAPA Auto Parts 200 NASCAR Race in Montreal
NAPA Auto Parts is proud to be the title sponsor of the NAPA Auto Parts 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race in Montreal, Quebec.
The upcoming 2011 event will take place on August 19-20 2011. Unlike the last two years, the Nationwide Series race will take place on a Saturday rather than Sunday. The state of Michigan will host the Sprint Cup on Sunday, that same weekend, and some drivers will most likely commute between the two events.
The NAPA Auto Parts 200 has become a major event of the NASCAR season. The Montreal event will celebrate its 5th anniversary in 2011.
The 2010 Nationwide Series race took place on Saturday and Sunday, August 28-29, 2010, and what a weekend is was! Great weather, an exciting race and a photo finish. Race fans had a lot to cheer for as only 22 of 43 cars finished the 200-mile course.
Patrick Carpentier, the NAPA #00 car driver, was in 13th position at the starting line. He only completed 50 of 77 laps due to a suspension problem and placed 32nd on the pole for this race. Jacques Villeneuve climb on the podium in 3rd position, Max Papis in 2nd and Boris Said was the big winner of the 2010 Series. To see the official race results, please click here.
